Girl, 17, and her grandmother killed when another car veered out of control, cops say

Two people were killed and four others injured in a violent weekend crash in Deerfield Beach when a car veered across a road into oncoming traffic.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Tuesday identified those involved in the four-vehicle collision that happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday on the 4300 block of West Hillsboro Boulevard.

Driver Breanha Free-Baker, 17, of Coral Springs, and her grandmother Robyn Underwood, 61, of Plantation, died in the crash.

The teen’s mother, Michele Free-Baker, 40, of Coral Springs; Andrea Schneider, 21, of Deerfield Beach; and Melanie Perozin, 22, of Coconut Creek, were taken to Broward Health North Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, officials said. Another person, Janis Farese, 54, of Boca Raton, was treated at the scene of the crash.
