Police ID teen drivers who ran away from Alligator Alley crash that killed 9-year-old girl

Two drivers who may have been racing tried to run away through the middle of the Everglades after causing a crash early Wednesday that flipped a Chevrolet Blazer carrying seven people, including a 9-year-old girl who was killed, officials said. Sol Pais, the South Florida teen obsessed with Columbine, dead in apparent suicide

Man, 84, dies as his pickup truck hits tree in Sunrise

A man died Wednesday after his pickup truck crashed into a tree, Sunrise police said. The 84-year-old driver of a Dodge Ram slammed into a tree just before noon near Flamingo Road and Northwest Eighth Street, north of West Broward Boulevard, said Officer Justin Yarborough, a spokesman for the Sunrise Police Department.
