More than $62 million worth of cocaine, marijuana sails into Port Everglades

Several tons of cocaine and marijuana that have been snatched from the international drug pipeline arrive at Port Everglades today in the latest show of enforcement by the Coast Guard. The agency will be offloading about $14,000 pounds of marijuana and 3,660 pounds of cocaine from the Portsmith, Virginia-based Coast Guard Cutter Bear. Four Seasons hotel and condos to open on Fort Lauderdale beach next year

Fort Lauderdale is getting a new 22-story hotel and condo project on the beach. The luxury Four Seasons is on track to open by late next year, its developer said Wednesday. The Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences will rise at 525 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd., with more than 50 percent of the units already sold, said Nadim Ashi, the Miami developer.
