At the request of Gov. Ron DeSantis, the board took action to end “critical race theory,” an idea that racism is rooted into all the major institutions of the country. Although Florida school districts say they don’t teach this, DeSantis and Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran say it’s embedded into efforts promoting diversity and anti-racism.
