In a lucrative run of luck, one day after the Florida Lottery announced two South Florida million dollar winners in scratch-off games, a single ticket purchased in Broward matched all five numbers in Wednesday night’s Fantasy 5 drawing and is worth more than $215,000.
That jackpot-winning ticket was purchased at the Sedano’s Supermarket at 10333 Pines Blvd. in Pembroke Pines and is worth $215,970.49, lottery officials said.
The numbers drawn in Wednesday night’s Fantasy 5 drawing were 1, 3, 4, 12 and 28.
In addition to the single jackpot-winning ticket, 336 tickets matched four of the five numbers drawn and are each worth $103.50. More than 11,000 tickets matched three of the five numbers and are worth $8.50 and 101,943 matched two numbers and win a free ticket.
Meanwhile, one man from Palm Beach County and another from Miami-Dade traveled to Tallahassee to collect their prizes from scratch-off games, the Florida Lottery announced Tuesday.
Brian Bell, 66, of West Boca, claimed the $1 million top prize in the $5 Gold Rush Classic scratch-off game. Bell chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $705,000, lottery officials said.
Bell bought his ticket at the Publix supermarket at 22973 S.State Road 7 (U.S. 441) in West Boca. The store will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
A Miami Gardens man, Fitzgerald Metelus, 40, turned in his $1 million winning ticket from the $15,000,000 Gold Rush Special Edition scratch-off game and also chose take a one-time payment of $705,000, according to the lottery.
Metelus bought his winning ticket at the Walmart Liquor Box at 16205 S. Military Trail in Delray Beach, which also will receive a $2,000 bonus from the Florida Lottery.
