1. MSD Heroes Challenge, Saturday, Race begins at 7:30 a.m.

The inaugural MSD Heroes Challenge is an obstacle course race for athletes of all skill levels and ages. Participants will walk/run a two-mile race of challenging obstacles and are invited to join a yoga class following the race. All money raised will be used to provide scholarships to emerging student leaders in local schools and to support the efforts of Stand With Parkland and other nonprofits working to create safer communities. $15-25. This family-friendly event during the South Beach Wine & Food Festival allows parents and kids to learn the basics of a healthy lifestyle with Food Network and Cooking Channel personalities and South Florida chefs. Children of all ages will have the chance to explore and interact with the recently revamped grounds of Jungle Island, including hands-on experiences and healthy food while visiting with the energetic animals who call it home. $22.
