Florida Supreme Court to decide how much Broward school district could pay in Parkland lawsuits

The Florida Supreme Court said it will hear arguments in a dispute about how much the Broward County School Board could be forced to pay to parents and victims in last year’s mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Woman sprayed neighbor with ammonia; smell overcomes deputy, sheriff’s office says

A woman accused of spraying a neighbor with ammonia in Deerfield Beach was taken into custody to be evaluated for mental health under Florida’s Baker Act, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said Monday. The woman lives in an apartment complex in the 400 block of Northwest 36th Avenue and sprayed another resident, Broward Sheriff’s spokeswoman Gina Carter said. A bullet-riddled silver sedan in front of a Pompano Beach gas station being investigated in connection with a shooting that reportedly wounded at least one person. The investigation was taking place at the RaceTrac gas station, 599 W. Atlantic Blvd. where crime scene tape surrounded a Dodge Avenger with a shattered driver’s side window before dawn Monday. The team working on Wayne Messam’s presidential campaign is mostly women, and includes people who have worked on campaigns for Andrew Gillum and Barack Obama.
