A Cape Coral couple’s fishing trip out of Bud N’ Mary’s Marina in Islamorada turned into a record haul after an eight hour fight landed a swordfish that tipped the scales at 757.8 pounds. A car thief didn’t get far after stealing a Honda that was left running with a 6-year-old boy inside. The child’s father hopped into another car, caught up with the thief and wound up shooting him, deputies say. Broward prosecutors said Monday they have begun investigating last week’s encounter in which deputies were recorded pepper-spraying, tackling and punching teens outside a McDonald’s near J.P. The former toy store in Coral Springs will become another place for kids. Urban Air Adventure, an indoor trampoline park, has signed its lease and will open at the former Toys R Us at 6001 W.
