“If we get a virus that is much more transmissible, what we could see, potentially, is an upswing in case numbers, with impacts on hospitals,” said Dr. Glenn Morris, director of the University of Florida’s Emerging Pathogens Institute. “If we pick up a vaccine that has more virulence, we could start to see a rising death rate.”
