A 36-year-old woman died early Monday morning after a head-on collision with another driver in Miramar, police said.
Inacia Da Veiga Andrade, of Miami, was driving a 2017 Honda Civic east while in the westbound lanes between the 6000 and 7000 blocks of County Line Road when she crashed into the front of a 2020 Tesla 3, Miramar Police spokesperson Janice McIntosh said in an email Tuesday.
The crash was discovered after a Miami Gardens Police officer came across the scene at the 7000 block, while Da Veiga Andrade was still inside her car. She was pronounced dead at the scene, McIntosh said.
The driver of the Tesla was taken to Aventura Hospital as a trauma alert. McIntosh did not provide an update on the driver’s condition Tuesday.
A Broward Sheriff’s Office helicopter flew over the area to search for any other cars or people that were involved but found none, she said.
The investigation is ongoing.
