WHAT: Porcine pleasures can be found at The Great American Bacon Race, and you have three chances to catch the event in SoFlo.
The 5K run/walk that puts bacon at the finish line will be in Davie, Miami and West Palm Beach on select Saturdays from February through April. And, yes, you can win the Golden Pig trophy.
But even if you don’t, there will be a Bacon Bash After Party to enjoy, with a DJ and themed tastings, food trucks, vendors and costume contest. The oh-so-very-popular Bacon Mile is also expected to return, in which you run a mile and eat a plate of bacon every quarter mile.

WHAT THEY ARE SAYING:
“We’re very excited to return to South Florida with the 2025 Great American Bacon Race series this year,” says founder Garfield Griffiths. “Due to many successful trial runs last year, we will incorporate the Bacon Mile into the post-race festivities, just after the awards ceremony.”
Griffiths adds, “As always, our top runners can qualify to win the illustrious Golden Pig, if they’re quick enough. Plus, let’s not forget the kids and the 400-meter Kids Bacon Dash.”

- Davie — 5K registration is $39 by Feb. 1 and $44 afterward; Kids Bacon Dash is $25
- Miami — $39 by March 1 and $44 afterward; Kids Bacon Dash is $20
- West Palm Beach — $29 by Jan. 31 and $34 afterward; Kids Bacon Dash is $20
