A shooting at a strip mall brought traffic to a halt on West Broward Boulevard Thursday afternoon, police say.
Fort Lauderdale Police are investigating the shooting in the 3300 block of Broward Boulevard, the department posted on X a little after 12:30 p.m.
“At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident and not an active shooter,” the police department wrote.
At the scene, a tattoo parlor with shattered windows was roped off with yellow tape while detectives investigated. Most of the glass was outside of the parlor, while inside was full of debris.
All traffic on West Broward Boulevard is blocked and “motorists are encouraged to find an alternative route.”
