Two people were shot, then ran into a nearby Walgreens in Plantation Friday afternoon, authorities say.
Both were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Plantation Fire Rescue responded to the Walgreens in the 3800 block of Broward Boulevard about 1:30 p.m., according to Aston Bright, a spokesperson for the fire department.
Two male victims were transported to Broward Health as Level 1 trauma alerts, the most serious form of trauma alert.
They were both “awake and alert” when transported, Bright said. He didn’t know their ages or how many times they had been shot.
“We don’t know what the situation was, we just know they were shot and they ran into the Walgreens,” Bright said.
It remains unclear what led to the shooting.
