I-95 South reopens after shooting near Sample Road in Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH — Interstate 95 South was shut down at Sample Road for several hours early Thursday due to a shooting.

Broward Sheriff’s Office Pompano Beach deputies and Florida Highway Patrol responded to the location at about 3:15 a.m.

A male victim was transported to a hospital, the sheriff’s office said.

I-95 South at Sample Road reopened to traffic about 7 a.m.
