Dog bites send child and adult to hospital

A “juvenile and an adult” were sent to the hospital Wednesday after being bitten by a dog, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

The incident happened about 2:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Northwest 21st Street in Pompano Beach.

The victims’ injuries were not life-threatening, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The breed of the dog, its owner and the circumstances of the attack were not immediately available Wednesday afternoon.

The dog has been detained, said Miranda Grossman, a spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
