Palm Beach County

- Boca Raton: Battle of the Bands scheduled for 7-10:30 p.m. at Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real, Boca Raton, is postponed. No new date has been set.
- West Palm Beach: Operation Push, Friday, at Tamarind Avenue from 18th Street to Grant Street, has been postponed.
- West Palm Beach. Free tree giveaway on Saturday has been rescheduled to June 25 at the Howard Park Community Center parking lot, 1302 Parker Avenue.

Miami-Dade County
- Zoo Miami, on Southwest 152nd Street, Miami. The zoo is closed Friday and Saturday to prepare the facility and protect the animals from the weather.

Palm Beach County
- Palm Beach Public Schools are closed as prescheduled
- Florida Atlantic University campuses are open

Broward County
- Broward County Public Schools are in session.
- Fort Lauderdale: Free sandbag distribution for residents from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at Mills Pond Park, 2201 NW Ninth Ave. There’s a limit of 10 bags per vehicle and residents should take their own shovel.
- Lauderhill: Limited supply of bags and sand until 4 p.m. Friday or as long as supplies last. Veterans Park, 7600 NW 50 St., and Wolk Park, 1080 NW 42 Way.
- Pembroke Pines: Residents can pick up no more than six sandbags per car from the Howard C. Forman Health Park at 1001 Poinciana Drive and from the William B. Armstrong Dream Park at 1700 NW 160th Ave. between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Friday. Shovels will be provided.
Miami-Dade County
- Transportation. Metrobus, Metrorail, Metromover and Special Transportation Services (STS), are operating a regular schedule but will cease operations no less than three hours before the County Emergency Operations Center estimated arrival of sustained tropical storm force winds of 39 mph.
- Miami-Dade Public Schools are in session
- Miami-Dade College campuses are open.
