Will Tropical Storm Fred hit Florida? Here’s the latest forecast and tracking map

Tropical Storm Fred is forecast to pass near or over the Florida Keys on Saturday and move through the Gulf of Mexico parallel to Florida’s west coast through the weekend, according to the National Hurricane Center. The Keys and the entire west coast and panhandle of the state remained in the forecast cone of concern late Thursday. Forecasts warned that other parts of the state that are not in the storm’s potential path, including South Florida, could still see heavy rain and strong winds.
