To our NSU student-athletes,
Although it has been a very challenging year for all of us from a physical, mental and emotional standpoint, we have proudly witnessed you proving yourselves as the champions we expected, as you rose to meet the challenge. As we approach the holiday season, I want to challenge you once again…to remember and appreciate the important things in your lives– your family, friends, and each of your loved ones. If this year has taught us anything, it’s been to appreciate each day, appreciate each blessing, and not take even the slightest things for granted. Enjoy the holiday season and cherish those moments spent with those that are closest to you.
You as student-athletes remain our number one priority. We understand your obvious concern moving forward in regards to what the upcoming seasons will look like, but be assured that with information from the CDC, NCAA, Sunshine State Conference and NSU changing regularly, our coaches, staff and administration are doing their absolute best to review and adapt our plans accordingly. We are working daily so that you have the most relevant information and best possible resources to remain healthy and safe during this pandemic. We promise to be as transparent as possible and share the intended competition plan as soon as we can. We are committed to doing everything in our power to support your efforts to compete, and compete safely. With that being said, although the holidays serve as times of celebration and joy, we as an athletic department ask that you continue to follow all necessary protocols. We ask that you remain committed and comply with all university policies set forth for your return to campus. We are all here to provide you the support needed to navigate the ever-changing nature of this situation.
These next two months are vital for our future, our sustainability as a championship athletic program, and the successes that lie ahead. With what we have endured over the past several months, I am truly grateful for our One Shark Family and what we represent, and am looking forward to a brighter 2021!
