This week, Gov, Ron DeSantis said more than 97% of the almost 1 million individual, eligible applicants have received a combined $2.7 billion in claims. DeSantis said many of the more than 2 million total claims were either duplicates, incomplete applications or ineligible gig workers and independent contractors.
