Wilton Manors says it won’t hold special election to replace deceased mayor

The city charter calls for holding a special election if there are more than six months left in the term of office. At their meeting Tuesday, commissioners were told that the Supervisor of Elections Office said a special election could not be held before primary elections slated for August, according to the Wilton Manors Gazette/South Florida Gay News.
