South of Haiti in the Caribbean Sea, a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms is being called Disturbance 2. This disturbance is expected to move northwest and bring heavy rain to the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica and Cuba through the weekend, but the 8 a.m. forecast Saturday gave it no chance of forming into a tropical depression over the next five days.
