How Broward’s oldest city could become a top destination to live, work and play

The city, incorporated in 1904, was known for decades as a transit point to other locations along U.S. 1 and State Road A1A, but several projects are planned in town. Developers and businesses, including hotels and retail chains, say they see merit in investing in Dania — partly because of the city’s proximity to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the burgeoning cruise line operations at Port Everglades.
