Trump administration says no more children will be sent to Homestead migrant shelter

“The bottom line is this: Even if this were the Ritz, the Ritz or any other fancy hotel, the children should be with their families,” U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey, D-N.Y., the powerful chairwoman of the House Appropriations Committee, said after she and 10 other members of the committee toured the facility. “The climate in this country, led by the president of the United States of America, causes fear in the hearts of families, and all our community members around the country.”
