Holograms Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison bringing ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Dream’ to Fort Lauderdale

The concert will depict a colorized version of Holly from 1957, two years before he died at age 22 in a plane crash following a concert in Clear Lake, Iowa. (His death on Feb. 3, 1959, is immortalized in Don McLean’s opus “American Pie” as “the day the music died.”) Hologram Holly will “croon” signature hits “That’ll Be the Day” and “Peggy Sue Got Married,” both anthems of young love.
