Sales for most major auto makers declined across the U.S. during the first quarter. Fewer sales were reported by Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, General Motors, Nissan, Toyota, Subaru and Jeep, according to Automotive News. After companies announced their first-quarter sales in April, IHS Markit analyst Stephanie Brinely released a statement suggesting the declines could be a harbinger for deeper fiscal woes to come.
