A 45-year-old construction worker was taken to the hospital after he fell from some scaffolding at a work site in Dania Beach, said Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue.
The fall happened just before noon Wednesday on the fifth floor of a building at 850 Stirling Road, officials said.
He fell about six feet and injured his pelvis so a Technical Rescue Team was called in to treat and take him to the hospital, officials said.
The building is in the early stages of construction does not have a functioning elevator so firefighters had to lower him to the ground using a fire truck ladder with a platform at the top, officials said.
It took about 20 minutes to bring him to ground level before the patient was taken by ambulance to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.
His injuries were not life-threatening, fire officials said.
