Couple found slain at Pompano Beach mobile home park; victims reportedly from Quebec

A knock on the door of Marc and Rita Gagne led to an appalling discovery on Friday: Both were dead.

And detectives are investigating their deaths as homicides.

Neighbors in their Pompano Beach mobile home park had become worried after not seeing the couple for a few days. Finally, a neighbor knocked on their door at 770 Birdie Lane around 5:40 p.m. Friday, found it open and walked in to find their bodies. Marc was in his 60s, Rita in her 70s, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

According to TVA, a French-language Canadian TV station, the Gagnes were from Quebec.
