One person seriously hurt in early morning house fire

One person was rescued from a house fire early Monday and taken to a hospital in serious condition, officials said.

The fire broke out about 1:30 a.m. in a residence along the 1300 block of Southeast Fourth Court, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Fire crews from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue were able to put the fire out. Investigators remained at the scene until shortly after 6:30 a.m.

The person who was hurt was taken to Broward Health North, officials said.
