A 9-year-old girl and a man were injured by gunfire during a fight in Hallandale Beach on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Police broke up a fight at 600 NW Sixth Ave., near Foster Park, after getting calls reporting that shots had been fired, said Capt. Ra Shana Dabney-Donovan, a spokeswoman for Hallandale Beach police.
Reports of multiple shots fired came in at about 2:15 p.m., she said.
Police later learned a little girl had been wounded by gunfire and was being taken to the hospital by a relative, Dabney-Donovan said.
Police did not say where the child was when she was shot or whether she was an onlooker.
Paramedics transported the injured man to the hospital for treatment.
Police did not disclose whether he was involved in the fight.
Both victims are in stable condition, Dabney-Donovan said Tuesday evening.
