Expect some traffic delays and detours in parts of Fort Lauderdale as two separate parades wind their way through city streets, Saturday.
The Sistrunk Parade and Festival will be closing Sistrunk Boulevard from 7 p.m. Friday through 11 p.m. Saturday between Northwest 9th and 27th avenues at different times that include:
— NW 14th Ave. to NW 27th Ave. from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday
— NW 14th Ave. to NW 21st Ave. from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday
— NW 9th Ave. to NW 14th Ave. from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday
The Sistrunk 5K begins at 7 a.m. at Delevoe Park, at 2520 Sistrunk Blvd.
The parade begins at 9 a.m. at Lincoln Park at 1900 Sistrunk Blvd.
The festival runs from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sistrunk Boulevard between NW 9th and 12th avenues.
Meanwhile, the Pride Fort Lauderdale Carnaval Parade will make its way along State Road A1A, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., Saturday.
The parade begins on Bayshore Drive and ends at Southeast Fifth Avenue as participants march southbound in the northbound lanes of A1A with police directing vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
One northbound lane of A1A will remain open for some vehicles but there will be detour points, police said.
