FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – In a boost to its athletic communications and marketing teams, Nova Southeastern Athletics announced the hiring of Tony Price as Coordinator of Digital Media and Graphic Design after a national search. His work with the Sharks began on Oct. 1.
“I am grateful to Athletic Director Michael Mominey and Michael Stambaugh for allowing me the opportunity to join this amazing staff,” Price said. “Nova Southeastern has a very strong and clear reputation of success on and off the field of competition, along with a history of innovative content. I have been and continue to be impressed by the vision and leadership of everyone at NSU Florida and I look forward to elevating the Sharks’ creative media beyond its strong foundation.”
Earning a Master’s Degree in Athletic Leadership from Clemson University and his Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Anderson University, Price joins the Sharks from the Palmetto State, South Carolina. Following a four-year career as a starter for Anderson baseball, Price began his career in educational administration, working at his alma mater as a Senior Admission Counselor and helped to guide the social media strategy in the school’s recruitment – also contributing as an athletics liaison with work as an NCAA Compliance Assistant.
Serving most recently in Columbia, S.C. as both a Career Development Facilitator at Hand Middle School and an Assistant Baseball Coach at Ridge View High School, Price utilized all available free time to sharpen his creative toolkit. His creative content in both graphics and video set a branding standard for Ridge View and quickly drew the attention of the South Carolina High School League staff, who tasked Price with providing multimedia coverage for the basketball, football and baseball state championships. In addition, Price developed video content for athletic and event video boards across the Columbia area.
“We are thrilled to have Tony aboard,” (Assistant Athletic Director for Communications, Digital Strategy and Marketing) Stambaugh said. “With his undeniable talent in both graphic and video production, he proved to be a standout in all phases of our extensive search. I have no doubt that he’ll be a key component in taking our multimedia content to another level.”
Price hit the ground running, delivering a quality quick hit for the men’s basketball Twitter account on his first day with the Sharks.
