On Thursday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m., Nova Southeastern Director of Athletics Michael Mominey will join Community College of Rhode Island Director of Athletics, Kevin Salisbury in leading a National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) affiliates convention webinar on the topic of best practices in intercollegiate athletics on student-athlete mental health, the statistics regarding mental health with college students and what administrators can use to educate staff and coaches in recognizing and assisting those who may be challenged by mental health concerns on campus.
The Sunshine State Conference representative and member of the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA) Board of Directors, Mominey is in his 20th year at the helm of NSU Athletics and will also discuss in greater detail NSU’s AIM (Academic, Injury, and Mental Health) program and the Sharks’ approach to comprehensively addressing well-being and mental health concerns among student-athletes.
