Warning of severe winds, torrential rain, pounding surf and severe storm surge, the Canadian Hurricane Centre issued the Nova Scotia warning, as well as a hurricane watch for Prince Edward Island, southwestern Nova Scotia, the Magdalen Islands, and southwestern Newfoundland.
