Fort Lauderdale Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting Saturday afternoon that left one suspect with life-threatening injuries, the police department said in a news release.
The shooting took place near Chateau Park Drive and Northwest 9th Avenue, the police department said shortly before 3 p.m.
The suspect has been taken to the hospital with “life-threatening injuries.” No one else was injured, Fort Lauderdale Police said.
A large police presence remains in the area, and parts of 9th Avenue are blocked off.
