A 15-year-old boy is accused of shooting his older brother to death, then taking his body to a Dania Beach canal where it was found days later, deputies said.
Kevin Dominique, 23, came home from work Sunday evening, and his brother allegedly shot him multiple times at the Dania Beach home along Southwest Sixth Avenue, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
Someone called 911 just after 8 a.m. Tuesday, reporting a body near a canal in the area of Ocean Waterway Boulevard and Old Griffin Road. While at the scene, detectives determined that Dominique had been shot, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Wednesday.
The area where Dominique’s body was found is just over a mile away from his home.
The teen has been arrested on a first-degree murder with a firearm charge and taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center. His name has not been released.
