
Detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that took place in Lauderhill early Sunday morning that left one woman dead and another wounded, according to police.
Officers found two women who had been shot after they arrived at the 1700 block of Northwest 38th Avenue about 2:15 a.m. Sunday. One died at the scene, and the other was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.
The injured woman has been treated and released, police said Monday. The woman who was killed has been identified as Erika Williams, 41.
Police said on Monday that no suspect has been identified and no motive is known.
