Slain Tamarac mother had warned Broward Sheriff’s Office multiple times of husband’s behavior, records show

In the months leading up to Mary Gingles’ death, she called the Broward Sheriff’s Office three separate times to report that her husband had put a tracker on her car, broken into her home and left a backpack in her garage with duct tape, plastic restraints and a note about “air embolisms” inside, according to a Dec. 2024 petition for the domestic violence injunction in Broward County Court.
