The Miami Heat plan to make disgruntled star forward Jimmy Butler available to play for Monday’s game against Orlando after his two-game suspension. He is not listed on the Heat’s Sunday afternoon injury report.
Butler, who concluded his suspension after Miami’s win over Brooklyn on Saturday, has been suspended for nine total games this season as his dispute with team management continues.
Butler, who has played in 25 of the Heat’s 44 games this season, spoke to a crowd at the padel Reserve Cup Miami 2025 on Saturday while serving his suspension. He later told reporters that he loves Miami “with everything that I have.”
“I’m so glad that I get to be around so many incredible people, friends and family that are here,” Butler said. “This city deserves everything.”
Butler’s latest suspension in the wake of his trade request was for a “continued pattern of disregard of team rules, insubordinate conduct and conduct detrimental to the team.”
