A man killed in a shooting outside of business warehouses in Fort Lauderdale last week has been identified as a Sunrise resident.
Shortly before 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Fort Lauderdale Police officers were called to the 1600 block of Southwest Third Avenue. They found Gregory Bradford, 44, dead at the scene, police department spokesperson Casey Liening said in a news release Tuesday afternoon.
The department initially said the shooting appeared to be a drive-by but later said that it was not. The shooter or shooters fled the area in a vehicle, Liening said.
“We don’t believe this occurred in a drive-by fashion, but we do believe that a car was involved, the suspect or suspects did get away quickly in a vehicle,” Liening told reporters at the scene the day of the shooting.
No one has been arrested in connection with Bradford’s death as of Tuesday afternoon. The police department has not released additional information.
