Although the Miami Hurricanes did not play this weekend, they moved up in the polls thanks to other teams ahead of them losing.
Miami moved up from No. 12 to No. 11 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll on Sunday. UM also earned the No. 10 spot in the FWAA-NFF Super 16 and in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Two teams ahead of Miami, Tennessee and BYU, both lost Saturday, allowing the Hurricanes to rise in the rankings.
The Hurricanes, who dropped their first game of the season last week against Georgia Tech, have two games left against a pair of unranked teams: Wake Forest and Syracuse. If they win both games, they will likely face No. 13 SMU in the ACC title game.
Miami has not faced a team that is ranked this week this season, as former top-25 Louisville fell out of the rankings after losing to Stanford.
