Despite Donald Trump’s false and dangerous trashing of the justice system following his guilty verdict, I am convinced that he secretly loves it, and his perilous attacks on it are more distractions from his playbook.
They are distractions, by the way, that too many of our alleged leaders have been duped into parroting.
I’ll bet that Trump is joyfully dancing in private and not throwing ketchup on the walls at Mar-a-Lago. The legal system he is publicly trashing has actually been extremely good to him.
The three gravest cases that could truly derail his presidential ambition and land him serious jail time are all in various states of delay, due to the best lawyers, judges and Supreme Court justices that money, lobbying and political maneuvering can legally buy.
So don’t believe Trump’s faux outrage against the system. It’s all theater to distract us from noticing how he has worked the system to his benefit.
The one criminal case of which he’s guilty is the hardest to explain on a bumper sticker and allows him to theatrically vent. The U.S. judicial system is serving Trump just fine.
The rest of us? In all these criminal cases, not so much.

The perfect candidate
According to news accounts, Sean Kingston, the rapper and singer from Southwest Ranches, was recently booked into the Broward County Jail in Fort Lauderdale on nine charges of theft and fraud.
The arrest warrant alleges that Kingston bounced checks and scammed businesses and banks for purchases of jewelry, furniture and an expensive car.
If he were married three times and cheated on each of his wives, perhaps with a porn star, Kingston would be the perfect candidate for Republicans to nominate for president.

No one is above the law. Unfortunately, Donald Trump and his followers spin the verdict by attempting to make him the victim.
His only concern is himself, and his followers are naïve to think otherwise. I fear for our country and its future when the rule of law is not respected nor accepted.

Our freedoms are at stake
I have tears in my eyes, my heart is broken, and I’m sad for the future of our country.
It’s because of the lies being spoken by Donald Trump and his followers who don’t seem to want to accept the truth when it is right in front of them.
There is written proof and there are audio recordings to counter all the lies by Trump. It’s distressing to see the disrespect to our judicial system and to the flag by people who don’t like the outcome of a trial.
In all of Trump’s 78 years (as of Friday, June 14), this is the first time he has actually been held accountable for his actions.
The jurors in this case were 12 regular people, and they convicted him on the evidence.
People need to accept that he’s a convicted felon who will continue to lie. That’s all he knows how to do.
He will take away many of our freedoms. That’s what a dictator does, which he said he would be (but “only on Day One”).
Wake up and see who’s running for president: a man who does not respect women and the American way of life.
