The crash of a pickup truck into a tree took the life of one person on West Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac early Sunday afternoon, authorities said..
The accident occurred west of the intersection of Commercial Boulevard and Northwest 64th Avenue, said Lauderhill Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Levy by phone.
Police officers and firefighters from Lauderhill initially responded although the site of the crash is technically within Tamarac’s city limits. They were later joined by deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, which is now investigating the accident, Levy said.
A BSO dispatcher said he had no information about the incident.
