And at this time, the family wants to remain private as they process the “unfortunate information that they have received.”

Levin, from Palm Beach Gardens, vanished on Monday, Jan. 30, during a trip from Delray Beach to Okeechobee.

Authorities recovered his car, a red Kia Stinger, in North Carolina last Thursday with a suspect in a murder in another part of Florida at the wheel. The man, 35-year-old Matthew Scott Flores, remains jailed on a $2 million cash bond. He is wanted for murder in Hardee County.

On Saturday, authorities recovered human remains in Okeechobee, a few miles from where Levin vanished. The remains have not been identified.
