
A teenager and a woman were wounded in a shooting in Tamarac on New Year’s Eve, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the 7900 block of Northwest 71st Avenue at approximately 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday and found a male teen and a woman who had both been shot.
The teen was taken to a hospital by Tamarac Fire Rescue with “potentially life-threatening injuries,” and the woman was treated at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said in a release.
Deputies detained a man at the scene.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes and Crime Scene units are investigating.
