FIRST TEAM
Alivia Artanis, IF, West Broward senior: Artanis wrapped up her stellar high school career with her highest batting average (.469) and OPS (1.135). She had five extra-base hits and stole 11 bases.
Grace Boehly, IF, South Plantation junior: Boehly was the Paladins’ leading hitter, batting .500 with 14 extra-base hits, including three home runs. She drove in 23 runs.
Victoria Brunette, IF, St. Thomas Aquinas senior: Brunette took a step forward as a senior, raising her batting average nearly 70 points to .341. She hit three home runs with 12 total extra-base hits. Brunette had a .985 OPS and six steals.
Victoria Carmona, IF, West Broward sophomore: Carmona hit .430 with a team-leading 37 hits, driving in 15 runs and hitting a pair of home runs. She notched a 1.077 OPS and stole 28 bases.
Reese Chesney, P, South Plantation senior: Chesney was the Paladins’ main pitcher, going 11-9 and completing 15 of her 21 games. She struck out more than one batter per inning. She also hit .378 with seven extra-base hits and 16 RBIs.
Sara Connor, IF, Monarch senior: Connor had a stellar senior year, setting a career-high with a .492 average and three home runs. She hit four triples, drove in 25 runs and stole 11 bases.
Cyara Geronimo, IF, West Broward senior: Geronimo was a dangerous hitter, batting .463 with 11 extra-base hits, including six triples and a pair of home runs. Geronimo stole a career-high 13 bases.
Summer Givens, IF, St. Thomas Aquinas senior: Givens had a breakout senior season, batting .346 with 12 extra-base hits and 26 RBIs.
Kylie Keenan, UT, Fort Lauderdale junior: Keenan doubled as one of the Flying L’s top hitters and pitchers. She had a .370 average with three home runs, a 1.220 OPS and 12 steals. She also had a 9-7 record and a 2.91 ERA in 16 games, striking out 115 batters in 96 1/3 innings.
Quinn McFadden, C, Fort Lauderdale senior: McFadden concluded her high school career wit her best season, leading Fort Lauderdale with a .519 average. She had two home runs and 13 extra-base hits, posting a 1.455 OPS. McFadden also stole 11 bases.
Melanie Sweet, OF, St. Thomas Aquinas freshman: Sweet had an excellent freshman season, leading the Raiders with a .393 average with four extra-base hits. She added 17 steals to go with her .960 OPS.
Hanna Turner, IF, Western junior: Turner paced the state semifinalist with a .389 batting average. She often turned those hits into extra bases, tacking on 18 steals.
Victoria Vazquez, OF, South Plantation junior: Vazquez hit .457 with nine extra-base hits — five doubles and four triples — driving in 18 runs and scoring 30. She added 11 steals.
Briana Escobar, IF, Coral Glades sophomore: Escobar was the Jaguars’ most prolific hitter, batting .467 with four home runs and 16 extra-base hits. She had 33 RBIs and scored 15 runs.

CO-COACHES OF THE YEAR
Bryan Baucom, St. Thomas Aquinas: The long-time St. Thomas Aquinas coach, after a schedule that saw the Raiders go 3-2 against teams who reached the final four (Western, American Heritage, Winter Springs, Hagerty and Niceville), took the team back to states for the first time in eight years.
John Bradshaw, Western: Bradshaw continued the Wildcats’ run of success on the diamond, leading Western to a 20-6-1 record. The Wildcats won their district and rolled to the state semifinals.
