A motorcyclist was killed Saturday night when he collided with a Boynton Beach fire truck that had its siren and emergency lights on, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Jacob M. Chalmers, 18, of Boynton Beach, was fatally injured in the crash in the 1325 block of South Congress Avenue. He had not been wearing a helmet, the sheriff’s office said. His passenger, Jordyn Alveus, of Belle Glade, who had been wearing a helmet, was critically injured and taken to Delray Medical Center.
