WHAT: TooJay’s Deli has assembled a special selection of beloved New York-y items. The menu, called “Winter in New York,” offers casual comfort foods not usually available at the restaurants’ 20 Florida locations.
ON THE MENU:
- Chilled Hot Chocolate, with whipped cream, a brown sugar and cinnamon rim, chocolate sprinkles, and caramel and chocolate sauces ($5.99).
- Loaded Pastrami Tots, filled with pastrami, cheddar and Swiss cheeses, onions, peppers, Russian dressing and scallions ($9.99).
- NYC Street Dogs, featuring two all-beef franks loaded with New York onion street sauce, deli mustard and sauerkraut, served with a side of french fries and a pickle ($12.99).
- Pastrami Cheesesteak, packed with pastrami, provolone and muenster cheeses, caramelized onions, red
peppers and chipotle mayo in a soft challah roll, served with french fries and a pickle ($14.99). - Chopped Cheese, filled with beef, onions, lettuce, tomato and American cheese, with a drizzle of mayo and ketchup all on a challah roll ( $12.99).
- Red Velvet Cheesecake Delight, a slice of red velvet cake layered with creamy cheesecake in the center and topped with cream cheese frosting ( $7.99, or whole cake for $35.99).
WHERE: Multiple locations including Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Wellington, Jupiter, Coral Springs, Plantation and Dania Beach.
WHEN: A TooJay’s spokeswoman said there’s no end date yet for these offerings, as the delis want to see how popular the menu is with customers.
