
A man was killed in an apparent hit-and-run crash in Pompano Beach early Sunday morning, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
Someone called authorities shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday to report a person who was lying in the middle of the road near the 1700 block of North Dixie Highway. Deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue found the man lying in the road, and he was pronounced dead there, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Car pieces found in the road may belong to a 2008 to 2013 silver Nissan Rogue. The Sheriff’s Office did not release additional information.
