Ahead of the High Holy Days, Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service (Alpert JFS) delivered hot Rosh Hashanah meals filled with gefilte fish, matzah ball soup, honey, honey cake, cans of carrots, green beans and sweet potatoes to 100 Holocaust survivors in our local community. The survivors live in cities from Boynton Beach north to Stuart. The meals were prepared by The Kind Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides warm, nourishing meals to those in need.
Alpert JFS provides holiday baskets for the local community throughout the year and specifically during Rosh Hashanah, Thanksgiving and Passover.
