Catch reggae icons Third World, plus Ballet Palm Beach, taiko drumming & more, for FREE at Kravis Center Block Party

It’s a free party with all kinds of live performances, food vendors, activities and — as if that weren’t enough — a concert by Jamaican reggae fusion band Third World.

The second annual Kravis Center Block Party returns on Saturday, Oct. 26, to the downtown West Palm Beach campus of the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

“We’re thrilled that this year, not only will we spotlight some of South Florida’s most talented performers — we’ll also kick it up a notch with Kravis Center debuts by internationally touring headliners Third World … as well as (afro-Cuban hip-hop act) Telmary & Habanasana,” says Kravis director of programming Oscar Quesada.

The event, which will take place indoors and outdoors (rain or shine), has a lineup that includes regional and international artists representing a variety of cultures and will give attendees a preview of what companies such as the Palm Beach Opera and Ballet Palm Beach plan for the upcoming season.

“Last year, the hundreds and hundreds of visitors to our inaugural block party highlighted the profound impact of the arts on our community,” recalls Diane Quinn, CEO of the Kravis Center. “We are excited to welcome everyone back to sing along with their friends, join a drum circle, and dance to their favorite band. Join us for an unforgettable day filled with entertainment and community spirit!”
